The Councilor for Social Policy and Equality, Salvi Pérez, and the Equality agent, Paqui Ruiz, presented this morning the activities to be held on the occasion of Valentine's Day, which is celebrated next Tuesday.
It is an awareness campaign against gender violence and prevention of toxic relationships focused on breaking myths about the concept of romantic love.
One part will be addressed to citizens in general and will consist of painting a mural on Avenida de la Libertad where you can read "that love is worth the joy and not the grief", which is the motto of the campaign.
"A small message that breaks myths of romantic love that supposes that love is suffering and sadness," said Salvi Pérez, adding that the goal is "to send again with this motto a message against gender violence and toxic relationships" .
This mural is based on many phrases of poetic actions that are being carried out worldwide.
Likewise, posters will be distributed with this same phrase and the telephones of attention against the violence of gender
On the other hand, actions will also be taken with adolescents.
Because in the centers they usually celebrate this day by giving away carnations and sweets, "we take advantage of this moment also to deliver a brand pages, elaborated from the Department, and this year is dedicated to breaking the myth of jealousy as a sign of love," Has indicated Paqui Ruiz.
In addition, a banner will be placed on the campaign in the four secondary education centers of the locality, the Pavilion Carlos Garcia, Municipal Library and the Center Roque Baños.
