On Wednesday, the board of directors of the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN) met in Madrid, where the Jumilla City Council holds the treasury position and was represented on this occasion by the Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil.
The certification of a new wine route, the Sierra de Francia, was approved in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León.
This route has already been integrated into the product club Rutas del Vino de España, promoted and chaired by ACEVIN and with it this club now has a total of 27 wine routes.
Cambados was chosen as the venue for the XXIII General Assembly of ACEVIN for the year 2017. Murcia had submitted a proposal through the denominations of origin of Jumilla, Yecla and Bullas.
Also closed some of the actions that will be developed during the next months, among which stand out an ambitious Plan of Actions of International Promotion in collaboration with TURESPAÑA;
The signing of a new Collaboration Agreement with the Secretary of State for Tourism, which will allow to continue carrying out promotional activities in the national market, or the new reports of the Tourism Observatory of Wine Routes of Spain, the only body currently studying And analyzes the data related to wine tourism in our country.
Juan Gil stressed the importance of Jumilla continue to be part of this association and continue being an active part to continue giving publicity to the most important economic sector of the municipality.
