The figures for requests for some type of service at the Jumilla Tourist Office have increased in the year 2016 by 34% over the previous year.
Throughout these twelve months and according to data obtained from the Network of Tourist Offices of the Region of Murcia, a total of 4,583 information services have been provided and a total of 3,823 tourists have been attended.
In relation to the previous year, the total number of services rendered has increased by 1,155, representing an increase of 34%.
The number of on-site visitors has increased by 945, bringing the figure to almost 25%.
More than half of these requests for information from 2016 have come from tourists from the Region of Murcia, namely 57%, 26% are of national origin, while 16% have been of foreign origin.
The most usual provenances of the national tourists have been Alicante (with 33% on the total), Barcelona and Valencia.
In the case of tourists from outside Spain, the figure has risen to 740, an increase of 11% over 2015, with Britain (36%), France (14%) and Switzerland (7%).

Almost half of the requests were related to the city and culture (49%), while 17% were interested in parties and events and 16.6% in wine tourism.
59% of tourists visited Jumilla for cultural matters, 21.3 for wine tourism and 11% for business, shopping, studying or visiting friends.
