The Local Police of Jumilla is participating this week in a special campaign on control of the alcohol rate and presence of drugs in drivers, in compliance with the programming of the Campaigns and Surveillance and Control Operations for the year 2016 carried out by the General direction of traffic.
In this particular case began yesterday and ends on Sunday, December 18.
Making a special impact on this type of campaign has led to a change in the behavior of citizens, which has caused the percentage of positives detected to drop sharply in the last decade, from 5.1% to 1.6%.
"However, it is a priority objective of the DGT is to try to achieve lower 1% alcohol breaths in randomized preventive controls," they indicate.
