The fifth edition of Jumilla Low Brass, festival dedicated exclusively to the tuba and the bombardino, will be held from 9 to 11 December.
This morning has been presented at the Vico Theater by its one of the organizers, David Abellán jumillano, and the councilor of Culture, Pilar Martinez.
The festival has a pedagogical and an artistic part.
The first one consists of different classes to music students that will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 hours.
The artistic part is the one that is exposed to the public and will begin that same Friday at 19.00 with the Concert of Presentation by Wonder Brass Quintet, to be held in the Auditorium of the Municipal Conservatory of Music.
On Saturday, the Vico Theater will host the Concert of Teachers accompanied by the Jumilla Low Brass Symphonic Band, starting at 20.30.
In the first part, David Abellán, will present the compact disc he has recorded recently in different parts of the country.
For Sunday will be the celebration of the first edition of Tubada Murcia 2016, novelty of this edition, to be held in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music from 17.00 hours.
The objective is to make a day of coexistence and play together all the fans to the tuba and bombardino, regardless of their level.
The invited teachers are Josep Bruguera, who repeats for the second time and is the solo bombardino of the Palma de Mallorca Band and professor of the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, as well as José Miguel Rochina, who is the soloist tuba of the Bilbao Band.
There will also be David Abellán and Daniel Férriz, who are, at the same time, the organizers of the event.
As a resident composer will be José Rafael Pascual.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martínez, referred to the event as "a festival consolidated at the national level, so I have to congratulate the organization for the commitment they put each year in preparing it."
