The Jumilla Local Police is conducting a training course on the detection of drugs, narcotics and psychotropic substances in drivers.
It is divided in four sessions, with a total of 20 hours and directed to the 50 agents that compose the template.
It will enable those who perform it to be able to instruct drunk and drug errands as the Judicial Police.
The first of the sessions was held yesterday at the Roque Baños Center by attorney Carlos Salmerón.
It studied the procedures for the control of alcohol and drug use in crimes against road safety, the regulatory framework, sanctioning criminal procedure, criminal procedural law and investigation of proceedings.
This afternoon will be the second session with the presence of the psychiatrist, Francisco de Asís Pérez, who will talk about the most common types of drugs and their detection and identification.
For Monday 28, it is planned to study the use of the drager drug test-5000 analysis system with a paper by Juan Andrés Ortega, deputy head of the Local Police of Yecla.
The practices and evaluation will be held on Tuesday 29, directed by the chief officer of the Local Police of Jumilla, Antonio Luis Mula.
The councilor of the area, Eugenio Aguado, said that "we are betting on a Local Police Professional, which leads us to conduct this type of courses. That is why we have made a Training Plan throughout this year, which will continue during 2017. Hopefully this will help us to have a local police much closer to the citizens and give a quick response to the issues that arise.
Meanwhile, Jumilla Local Police chief Antonio Luis Mula said that this 2016 will be closed with more than 100 hours of training, "so it is possibly the year that more courses have taken place."
