October has finished in Jumilla 169 more people registered in the unemployment lists.
However are the best figures of recent years, in a month that historically increases unemployment in Jumilla.
The total of people in unemployment is 2,602 people, of which 1,096 are men and 1,506 are women.
Noting that unemployment is down 10.43% compared with the same month last year.
In addition, greater employability of men, the best October year comprising the observed data in the report since 2010, from 1,599 registered unemployed en2011 to 1,096 in October 2016 notes, representing a reduction in male unemployment of a 31.45%.
The Councillor for Economy and Employment was pleased with the progression of the numbers compared to previous years.
He said that "we must especially improve the numbers that have to do with women, and that improvements have been noticed especially in men."
It stresses that the City of Jumilla, within the limited competences in this sense, is working to launch different training initiatives and other measures that will further improve the statistics.
