As indicated by Juana Guardiola, the aim of this new contract is to unify different services that were provided by the City separately, "which will result in better efficiency at lower cost."
The mayor added that "the contract includes many improvements, in fact already be seen new containers by the municipality, the condition of the Ecoparque and in the future different awareness campaigns will be conducted."
Juan Gil noted that the saving will have the City Council with this new unified management is about 20,000 euros a year and has detailed all services to be carried out such as the selective collection of paper, cardboard and packaging the containers enabled on the street, door to door collection of paper and cardboard in shops that request, management Municipal Ecoparque, collection of bulky goods in homes every Thursday notice by the citizen to the company and collected from municipal pruning of dead animals abandoned and mortuary Cemetery boxes.
Likewise, they manage a Mobile Ecoparque, which will accommodate the following waste: glass, cans, paper and cardboard, lamps, plugs, fluorescent, phones, batteries, CDs and DVDs, films, toners, metal cans and aerosols.
Mobile Ecoparque will rotate through different municipalities, both urban and districts, route to be made public so that citizens know what points will be every day.
It is expected also that different awareness campaigns and awareness among citizens and schools are made.
