The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia offers a memorial concert for the 75th anniversary of the image of Reclining Christ of the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz and the Holy Sepulchre in Jumilla, which will take place tomorrow at the Teatro Vico of the town and has been organized with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson.
On this occasion, the musicians of the Symphony of the region will be led by two directors throughout the concert.
In the first part, is Virginia Martinez, head of the orchestra, who put on the lecterns Suites 1 and 2 of the work of Edvard Grieg's 'Peer Gynt'.
Then the training will play under the baton of Roque Baños Jumillano works composer, winner of numerous national and international awards among which three Goya awards for his soundtracks.
Specifically, his compositions created for 'Eight Catalan surnames' will be heard tomorrow, 'The thirteen roses', 'Risen' and 'Alatriste'.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta Lopez-Briones, stressed "the peculiarity of this concert, which will have two directors, Virginia Martinez and Roque Baños, who could not miss this appointment with the history of their city in the 75th anniversary of the recumbent statue of Christ, which will be commemorated during 2017. "
The concert will begin at 21.30 and admission is free to complete the capacity of the theater.
The invitations can be withdrawn at the headquarters of the Central Board of the Brotherhood of Jumilla.
