The Ministry of Culture and Spokesman has declared Billed by its cultural relevance archaeological site Portichuelo Cave in Jumilla.
The resolution, published today in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), reports that have completed the mandatory procedures without having made any allegation against protect this space.

Portichuelo Cave is located in the southwest sector of the Sierra de la Fuente, about 3.5 kilometers north of the main town of Jumilla.

It is a cave (zone 1, according to the resolution) of rounded shape, measuring 0.9 m long and 0.7 m wide and open to the northwest, toward the ravine that divides into two halves the Sierra from the source.
Next to the entrance, descending from the inlet, a large accumulation of land, which was a landing where a group of cavers Hineni Group of Jumilla found human bone fragments is observed.

From now on, any intervention intended to be made in the Cave of Portichuelo or its vicinity must be notified and approved in advance by the Generalde Address Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Spokesman, as happens with declared assets of cultural interest ( BIC) and property inventoried.
Comas recalled that "the cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia is one of our main identity and, therefore, from the regional government work so that the assets that comprise it, which constitute a heritage of inestimable value, are properly protected, preserved and valued, and also become an attraction for all those who visit us.
