The Center of Attention to Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Jumilla will remain open continuously until next April 2017 after a request from the Department of Social Services extension of implementation and justification of the grant direct award.
The concession decree was published on 6 May and therefore at 31 December would not have exhausted the subsidized amount.
It was one of the requests made by the mayor, Juana Guardiola, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Salvi Pérez, at the meeting in June with the Minister of Family and Equality, Violante Thomas and the Director General of Women, Alicia Boatmen.
Councillor for Social Services, Salvi Pérez, said she is satisfied with the approval and said: "On the contrary, the team of previous government instead of requesting this extension, increased the hours of three professional profiles until December 2015, causing the service saw this paralyzed until May 2016 ".

CAVI is a service to assist women victims of domestic violence from different professional approaches, offering individual and group treatment for battered women.
They receive counseling and care to integrate into society and overcome the consequences that produced them suffered abuse.
This service involves a legal advisor, a psychologist and a social worker.
It is located in the Center of Social Services in Albano Street Martinez No. 9, with hours from 9:30 am to 14 pm Monday to Friday and from 17 to 19 hours on Monday afternoon.
