Councillor for Culture, Pilar Martinez, held yesterday at the Museum of Fine Arts in Murcia a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Noelia Arroyo, which was attended by mayors and Culture of the municipalities in the region.
It was a first working meeting on the Plan of exhibition space, to which the City intends to adhere and whose official announcement will open soon, enabling the creators of the region exhibit in the halls of the different municipalities.
The regional government allocated 100,000 euros over two years for exhibitions in all municipalities to join the project in order that none of the spaces of the region lacks programming and remain empty.
The plan was created with the main aim of promoting artists from the region and contribute to giving greater visibility to the work they perform, complementing the cultural and exhibition offer of the different municipalities, placing value spaces at their disposal and ensuring all citizens of the region, reside where they live, access to a quality culture.
Pilar Martinez said about that aims to "be several exhibition spaces that can provide Jumilla".
Will the City Council which requested and coordinate the different samples offered.
Each municipality may select up to three projects and Culture will organize the exhibition calendar "to ensure that no samples were repeated in nearby areas and for the maximum number of creators and rooms can benefit from this initiative," Arroyo added the Minister.
