Students in 4th Prince Felipe Elementary School this morning visited the city of Jumilla as one of the activities that serve to close the course 2015/16.
There they were welcomed by the mayor, Juana Guardiola, and the official chronicler Antonio Verdú, who have explained to them the history of the building from its role as a hospital until it became the seat of the consistory, in the last third of the nineteenth century.
The route started by the main stairs to the plenary hall.
There they were able to sit in the seats occupied by the municipal corporation and have known the various details of the current shield of the city.
Then the mayor has accompanied them for other municipal councilors as the hall, the former mayor, the current offices and yard, ending with a family photo at the main entrance.
Students have had the opportunity to ask all the details of building both the official chronicler of Jumilla as the mayor herself.
