This week have started the expansion works of the Municipal Cemetery of Jumilla in which 80 new niches will be built.
The planned implementation period is three months being the total cost of 31,695.95 euros.
"With this work, according to information from the municipal census and deaths in the town, the ability of the cemetery would be enhanced enough to cover the needs of the coming years, considering that there are many families that already have with burial units available for use and should not acquire new units, "he said the mayor responsible for the cemetery, Alfonso Pulido.
In this installation they have also been carried out in recent months various maintenance improvements: painting, masonry repairs and installation of new furniture with benches and bins.
In addition, Alfonso Pulido has advanced to the Consistory intends to do throughout the present mandate a second expansion, with more than 300 niches, "so that would guarantee the provision of this municipal service."
