The Councillor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, closed the ceremony of diplomas Assistant course Nurseries, Garden and Garden Centers being carried out since last April in the premises of the Socio-Cultural Center Roque Baños and Botanical Garden of La Estacada.
The eight students who have completed will have the professional certificate level 1. It was a course for long-term unemployed over 45 years organized by the Department of Local Development and Employment, funded by the Regional Employment Service and Training and funded by the European Social Fund.
It has received 250 hours of theory and 80 others remaining non-labor to perform in the company Natural, Water and Environment Engineering SL in Jumilla professional practices.
Classes are taught by Christopher Barreiro Rodriguez, the main subjects basic operations in nurseries and garden centers, installation of gardens, parks and green areas and maintenance.
In relation to this course the day on Gardening, Nurseries and plant species in Jumilla which featured speakers Calín Angel Sanchez and Jesus Gonzalez Andujar was organized on June 1st.
The mayor of the area welcomed the work of the professor and student motivation "in search of an exit to join the workforce".
Juan Gil Jumillano invited to visit the Botanical Garden to see the improvements that students have made, they will be more overtaking through practices as will be creating an urban garden in a school.
It has also indicated that it will try to offer other courses in the sector.
