Fifty students of 3rd primary of Our Lady of the Assumption College this morning visited the city of Jumilla accompanied by three of their teachers.
They were received at the entrance of the same by the mayor, Juana Guardiola, the Councillor for Education, Cande Fernandez and Councilwoman Equality and Social Policy, Salvi Perez.
The official chronicler Antonio Verdú, has been commissioned to explain the building's history from its beginnings as a chapel, through more than three centuries as hospital, until it became late nineteenth century Town Hall and its various extensions later.
Students have visited the plenary hall, the balcony, the council room, the former mayor, as well as modern facilities.
Throughout the tour they have had the opportunity to ask different questions to the mayor about his life as first local mayor.
The visit ended with a family photo on the front steps of City Hall.
