The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola and the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, yesterday held a meeting to discuss new issues related to road infrastructure in the municipality, especially the RM-A15 road linking the highway RM-424 (Yecla-Pinoso) and the N-344, better known as El Carche.
During the meeting, the Minister and the Mayor analyzed the characteristics of the project in all aspects of the way, currently it supports a traffic of over 200,000 vehicles per year, of which 12,000 are heavy.
They put in value the important contribution that this action will contribute to mobility and road safety to users through this route.
In this regard, they assessed positively the progress that has been made in this proposed action and agreed to hold another meeting soon to continue taking steps in this project.
Another important issues on the table was the claim of jumillanos construction of a link on the A-33 with the El Carche.
Francisco Bernabé has ensured that shares the demand and has offered to work together with the City of Jumilla to get it.
For its part, the mayor referred to the visit to the works of the minister Ana Pastor, indicating that it has sent a letter accompanied by all the documentation to verify that requests jumillanos meet the technical criteria.
"You can be sure not ask an output that is 500 meters or the anterior or posterior. I hope that good sense prevails and that the set of all can be a reality work," said Guardiola.
The mayor also recalled the counselor the current situation of the floors of the old MOPU, located in the neighborhood of Santiago.
"There are some blocks that must be taken down because they are empty and tabicados causing dirt and danger. We must also invest in the rest, as they are in disrepair.
