Development and City of Jumilla working to advance work on the road to El Carche (03/05/2016)

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Bernabé, today held a meeting with the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, to discuss issues related to road infrastructure in the municipality, especially RM-A15 road linking the RM-424 road ( Yecla-Pinoso) and the N-344, better known as El Carche.

During the meeting, the Minister and the Mayor analyzed the characteristics of the project in all aspects of the way, currently it supports a traffic of over 200,000 vehicles per year, of which 12,000 are heavy.

They put in value the important contribution that this action will contribute to mobility and road safety to users through this route.

In this regard, they assessed positively the progress that has been made in this proposed action and agreed to hold another meeting soon to continue taking steps in this project.

On the other hand, also they addressed the works that are running on the stretch of the A-33 between the towns of Yecla and Jumilla, action carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and improve road communications in the Highlands and with Valencia, the interior and the motorway link road with El Carche.

The construction of this section of the A-33, which has set a budget of 69 million, is divided into three sub-sections, whose route is 23.4 kilometers.

The first 7.3 kilometers, stretches from the junction with the N-344 in Jumilla, to the local road MU-26-A;

the second, of 7.5 kilometers, ranging from MU-26-A to the next intersection with the same road, and the third, 8.6 kilometers, ranging from MU-26-A to the regional road C- 3223 giving access to Yecla.
