The Spanish Association of Wine Cities (Acevin) and the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña) signed Friday in Yecla renewing a cooperation agreement to promote wine tourism abroad.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, and the president of Acevin, Rosa Melchor.
They attended, also, the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment of Murcia Development, Juan Hernandez, mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Economy and Employment of Jumilla, Juan Gil, and the president of the Route Jumilla wine, Sebastian Garcia.
The acuerdorecoge assistance and support management actions and coordination Product Club Wine Routes of Spain, conducting annual surveys of visits to wineries and museums, as well as the development of communication actions, promotion and marketing of the brand and Wine routes offer.
The agreement also includes the development of the third edition of Wine Tourism Awards 'Wine Routes of Spain', convened earlier this year.
In addition, new cooperation actions related to the marketing of tourism products Wine Routes of Spain, as the alliance with the Spanish Association of Wine and Culinary Tourism (AETG), which integrates major travel agencies and tourist intermediaries will also boost country specializing in food and wine tourism, and the program Approved Agencies Wine routes of Spain will be launched.
Councillor for Agriculture, Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, stressed that "this agreement is very important for the promotion of new cooperation measures aimed at the commercialization of the products of our land, especially to achieve greater presence outside our borders".
