The Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin Jumilla wines organized on Saturday a new edition of Wine laMiniferia.

The site chosen was again the Plaza del Rey Don Pedro with the aim of promoting bottled wines by wineries of the municipalities that are part of it.

The president of the DO Jumilla, Pedro Lencina, notes that "the impact of this event is very important because it is a measure of promotion of the wineries in the region to raise awareness and to value our wines, and also because there are many people who visit us during Holy Week in Jumilla ".

This year a total of 18 participating wineries, who will share their best wines with those attending the event, which will start at 12.00 pm and will run until 15.00.

Attendees must purchase for 5 euros the cup specially recorded by the PDO Jumilla.

With it you can go through the various stalls set up by the participating wineries and taste the wine they prefer how many are available alongside those accompaniments chosen by each winery: cheese, nuts, ham ... "You can taste wine without drinking everything they kick us in the cup, just as is done in the tastings, but accompanying it with some food, "says the president of the PDO Jumilla.

Pedro Lencina has also pointed out that this year the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin Jumilla wines, lapresidencia of honor of the 22nd Contest Calidadque will take place on 14 and 15 April , it has been accepted by Roi Felipe VI.
