The Department of Agriculture Jumilla City Council has sent a message of reassurance to the news of the detention of 300 head of cattle, goats and sheep in particular, for developing the disease popularly known as scabies.
The area councilor, Juan Gil, said that the outbreak is fully localized and controlled.
"The City Council do not take this type of controls farms, since it is not our competition, but we are in permanent contact with the different both regional and local agencies to have peace of mind that things are done well in our town. We are informed all through the region and its Department of Animal Production, as well as the District Agricultural Office, "he stressed the mayor.
Juan Gil has also said that the outbreak is not dangerous for workers, "always take appropriate measures" and that there is no cause for alarm because "has appeared in a single operation".
