The Bishop of Albacete, Ciriaco Benavente, has been commissioned to proclaim the Easter Jumilla 2016 through an event held Sunday in the parish church of Santiago.
The crier was received by the mayor, Juana Guardiola, and municipal corporation in the hall of the City Council, which was also attended by the regional deputy, Yolanda Fernandez, the president of the Central Board of the Brotherhood, Fulgencio Garcia, the Nazarene honor, Francisco Perez, and the presidents of the fraternities and sororities.
Ciriaco Benavente had words of praise for Holy Week of Jumilla and thanked the "warm welcome from both the mayor and the corporation."
Already in the Church of Santiago he presided over the Mass after the opening speech by the pastor, Jorge Trinidad Oliva, and Father Francisco Oliver, who was in charge of presenting the Bishop of Albacete.
Ciriaco Benavente reviewed the different events of the liturgy of each day of Holy Week.
He extolled the Easter Jumilla noting that "is all the passion and prepasión with an artistic quality so exceptional that every step would need a cry".
