After verifying that in the neighboring town of Yecla the land has been made available to the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia to execute the greenway in the neighboring municipal area (agreement adopted by the Government Board of November 3, whose public records that municipality while in Jumilla they are secret) we reaffirm ourselves in what has been said on previous occasions, the current PSOE team in Jumilla does not have the will to get the land for the greenway.

On the other hand, this December the work in Cieza is expected to be almost finished. The antecedents are overwhelming, years ago, the Jumilla City Council contemplated as a solution to pass an electric line for a purification plant in a district, reaching agreements with the owners of land or even expropriating for that power line, not only did it not do so , but eventually laid that line on public roads.

Almost 500,000 euros were wasted on emptying that sewage treatment plant over the years. With the execution of the arrangements for the Santa Ana Highway, a land that, although not municipal, is a livestock route, the PSOE of Jumilla also chose to carry out a much less ambitious work by not reaching agreements with owners to remove fences or make a demarcation of the land.

In addition, although they are provisional authorizations, the fences in that area are becoming more forceful. With the Carretera del Carche, the Autonomous Community tried to get the City Council the goal of obtaining land for the expansion of the road and at first they conceded that goal, although it seems that it will not end up being the City Council who will finally take care of that matter. To show the inoperability in these matters, the Jumilla City Council governed by the PSOE, recently presented the project for the local police building on land that belonged to FEVE and now the responsibility of ADIF.

How can we believe them if they have not bothered to obtain them on land used for decades by the City Council? However, there is a clear commitment to remodel what is not necessary, without going any further, in a third of the Avenida de la Asunción they will spend 440,000 euros. IU Verdes will not believe in the will to obtain the land for the greenway if it is not demonstrated with true negotiating will and / or firmness to obtain the land with the legal instruments available to the City Council.

If the City Council does not have all the information of a state institution such as ADIF, belonging to the same party that governs our municipality, little hope can be had.
