The project will be debated on Friday in plenary session and aims to be in force on January 1, 2021. It has a total amount of 20,265,347.66 euros, which is similar to that of the current Budget 2020.
For the third consecutive year it will not have a chapter on financial liabilities, as all the debt has been canceled at the end of 2018.
"The draft of the 2021 Budget prioritizes social spending again and also includes an open item with the aim of continuing to support the economic sectors most affected by the pandemic ", explained the mayor of the area. The chapter on transfers represents a total of 1,425,102 euros, of which 776,072 euros are destined to subsidies to associations and groups, as well as social aid: 12 lines for competitive competition for an amount of 383,000 euros and 24 registered lines for the value of 386,072 euros, as well as 7,000 euros in prizes. "The amounts allocated to the collaboration agreements with Cáritas and the Jumilla Red Cross have doubled, rising from 30,000 to 60,000 euros and new nominative grants are created for ARJU and ASAMJU, as well as in Sports the one for Jumilla ACF.
The rest they are maintained a priori with the amounts assigned last year that would give capacity for the development of all the activities of an exercise without the limitations of the pandemic, "he stressed. In investments, an expense of 858,162.49 euros is foreseen, which will give continuity to the work that is being done throughout the municipality, neighborhoods, districts and districts.
An item close to 200,000 euros will go to the construction of toilets and changing rooms in the La Hoya Sports Center and 164,000 to the reconstruction of the tennis courts, 100,000 euros will go to investments in districts, 30,000 to the recovery of natural spaces, 30,000 to repair of rural roads and another 30,000 euros to a new phase of the Accessibility Plan. Through the remainder of the Treasury, during the year 2021, investments will be made for a value of 1,673,534.86 euros, which will mean the implementation of computer applications that facilitate tax and collection management, economic management and management register through electronic administration, which will allow citizens to access this service through telematic procedures.
In works, the Bernardo González Municipal Velodrome will be rehabilitated (241,388.66 euros) and its children's games (52,892.09 euros), the asphalt and pavement of the MOPU homes will be renewed (168,771.20 euros), the wall of the breakwater of the Puente del Poyo (84,703.87 euros), the paths from the Mill to the Charco del Zorro, from Las Encebras to Sopalmo, the Rambla de La Raja, the Prado and the Canalizo Cantero (144.184.14 euros), as well as the 2021 Asphalt Plans in the Urban Center and Pedanías, budgeted at 360,000 euros.
