"Anyone who needs it and meets a minimum of requirements is served," said the mayor.
So far in 2020, extraordinary aid has tripled, with more than 42,000 euros awarded in a number of 1,679 aid for food, medicine, bus tickets or butane.
Likewise, 100,000 euros have been earmarked for aid in urgent need, dedicated to the payment of housing rents, the purchase of school supplies, equipment and even the payment of burials. On the other hand, the amounts allocated to the collaboration agreements with Cáritas and the Jumilla Red Cross have doubled, which have gone from 30,000 to 60,000 euros, also intended to cover the needs of citizens.
