The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martínez and the president of the Association of Friends of Rock Art of the Region of Murcia, Emiliano Hernández, accompanied by the head of the Culture area of ??the City Council, Andrés Martínez, and members of the association, have placed this Tomorrow on the balcony of the Town Hall the banner commemorating the European Day of Prehistoric Rock Art, which is celebrated today.
Likewise, it has been carried out on the balconies of the town halls or museums of the eleven municipalities of the Region of Murcia that have Prehistoric Rock Art in their municipal term, as well as in the Government Delegation, at the University, Campus de la Merced and in the Archaeological Museum of Murcia.
Tomorrow, in the Shelters of El Pozo de Calasparra, located next to the Segura River, another institutional act will be held in which a commemorative plaque will be delivered to the mayors of those municipalities in the Region of Murcia that have in their municipal term Rock Art, included within the UNESCO list as World Heritage, which are: Calasparra, Cieza, Jumilla, Moratalla, Mula and Yecla, to conclude with a guided visit to the shelters.
