If the registered unemployment in the municipality is analyzed by sex, age, sector and nationality, the percentages remain with small alterations similar to previous months.
In this way, female unemployment continues to be higher than male unemployment, standing at around 61% of the total.
Registered people over 45 years of age represent 47.70%, while the sector of activity with the highest demand for work is Services, with 53.08% of registered unemployment.
87.83% of the registered unemployed have Spanish nationality and most of the unemployment is concentrated in people with studies equivalent to ESO or lower, with 87.51%. The estimated unemployment rate for the active population amounts to 21.19% referring to the month of August. The Councilor for the Economy and Employment, Juan Gil, has positively assessed the change in trend.
"We will continue to make efforts as far as possible from the institutions so that the data continue to improve and that the Services sector can recover," he said.
