| The sewerage network, drinking water and sidewalks have been changed, as well as the resurfacing of both sections with an investment of 157,000 euros | This week the infrastructure renovation works on Calle Jardín Botánico and its extension to La Vía, in the hamlet of La Estacada, finish.
The sewerage network, drinking water and sidewalks have been changed to finish with the asphalting of both sections, as well as the repainting of the horizontal signs.
The streets have been adapted and accessible, as well as with spaces for parking. The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, visited the works today accompanied by the councilor for Works and Urbanism, Francisco González, the councilor for Pedanías, Mª Belén López, and the pediatrician from La Estacada, Josefina Ochando.
"These are important improvements for the district, since these streets were found with an asphalt agglomerate in poor condition and the drinking water and sewerage services had leaks, since they date from when the town was built, at the end of the years sixties of the last century, "said the mayor. The works have been carried out by the Ayllonza company at a cost of 140,155.76 euros, to which must be added another 17,000 euros of the complementary improvements that have been carried out through Aguas de Jumilla. These improvements come to join others carried out in recent years in the district of La Estacada, such as the renovation of infrastructures on La Vía street, the rehabilitation of Plaza de Los Cipreses, the elimination of architectural barriers on sidewalks, the creation of new parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, the comprehensive renovation of the Traffic Education Center, as well as the installation of adapted games and a canopy as a bus stop.
In addition, the rehabilitation of the Bernardo González Velodrome is also scheduled to follow.
