| It joins the eight already existing in different facilities with the aim of having this service in the busiest places | The Jumilla City Council has acquired a new defibrillator that has been installed today in the office building, with the entrance on Calle Ramón y Cajal.
Likewise, the batteries, electrodes, first aid kit and existing software have been renewed.
The new defibrillator and the maintenance of the rest has been carried out by the GCardio company at a cost of 2,683.32 euros. "The objective is to continue providing this service to the municipal facilities most frequented by citizens, as approved at the time in plenary session," said the councilor for Health, Antonio López. Currently, the Roque Baños Center, the three sports pavilions, the municipal swimming pools and the Sports Center already had a defibrillator, the latter with two of them, as well as the itinerant one carried by a Local Police patrol.
With the one installed today in the City Council, there are already nine defibrillators distributed in municipal facilities. Likewise, the Health Councilor added that "soon it is planned to offer courses on the handling of this type of equipment for those employees and interested parties who do not have knowledge and recycling for those who did so in the previous legislature."
