The matter deserves an analysis of the whole and of the area in particular: There is a rainwater master plan from 2009-2010 that has a significant cost, but it can and should be done little by little, neither the PSOE nor the PP in the different corporations have wanted to invest in that, in our opinion, because "it sells little electorally speaking ". On the part of the PSOE in the previous one and in the current corporation, integral works have not been undertaken, it is not possible to connect scuppers and more scuppers without making a separate network to evacuate those rainwater (as has been done in Avda de Levante in a good section ). Going into the detail of the area in the opinion of IU Verdes there are several deficiencies and deceptions that are worth knowing about: -The collector that was installed was 1200 mm in diameter, but in at least one part of the route it seems that a sewer pipe was put inside, thus reducing its capacity. -This collector ends up connected to a 600 mm drain pipe, so not all the water that could be evacuated is evacuated, the capacity is less than half. -The new scuppers inaugurated in July 2020 have not been connected to a new tube, so in the end, if there is an overload in the tubes, it will not serve as any type of relief. -There is a lot of lack of maintenance of the tunnel under Avenida de la Libertad, we think that there may come a time when it is filled with remains of wipes and other waste and not all the water that could come out, both when the scuppers were inaugurated as after the rains of August 12, 2020 there is more and more dirt. As a conclusion to everything detailed, IU Verdes proposes that an agreement be adopted to undertake in a period of 10-15 years, in phases, the works so that the rainwater is collected in a sewer for this type of water, with the master plan that was had or with a new one if necessary.

The waters can then be used with proposals such as those made by neighbors and associations. We urge the government team to undertake global, comprehensive and one-time solutions for the problem in that area and for all those areas where there are problems with rainwater, that the residents of those areas are not deceived again and again.
