| With the aim of avoiding crowds, the campaign will take place every Tuesday in August, instead of a specific one as on previous occasions , being the first tomorrow day 4 | The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the councilor for Celebrations, José Antonio Jiménez, the president of the Federation of Peñas for the Harvest Festival, Guillermo González, the head of the Promotion Department of the Regional Hemodonación Center, Antonia María Gómez, and the president of the DO Vinos de Jumilla, Silvano García, presented this afternoon in the plenary hall of the City Hall the third edition of the campaign 'It's in our blood', launched in search of further increasing the number of donations of blood in the municipality. With the aim of avoiding crowds, the campaign will take place every Tuesday in August, instead of a specific one as on previous occasions, the first being tomorrow on the 4th.
It will be at the Jumilla Health Center, from 5:30 to 9.30 pm and all donors will take as a souvenir a bottle of DO Jumilla wine.
Record high figures were reached in the three previous editions of this campaign, which involved more than 300 donations in a single afternoon.
Jumilla continues to maintain the highest average of donors per 1,000 inhabitants, tripling the regional average. The City of Jumilla dedicated a monument to blood and marrow donors last 2019, which was installed in the landscaped area of ??the Health Center as a thank you to the blood and marrow donors of Jumilla, since the municipality is an example of awareness through different campaigns that have broken donation records. On the occasion of the Covid-19, prior information will be sent via WhatsApp on what conditions must be met to donate blood and regular donors from Jumilla will be summoned, sending an SMS with the recommended time slot to avoid crowds.
Whoever does not receive the SMS can come respecting the safety and hygiene regulations.
