It was in the V Hall of Generous Wines that took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Madrid last Monday, March 8, where the staff of the Jumilla CRDOP attended grouping 9 wineries producing these traditional wines, and presented different elaborations based on the Monastrell.
Jumilla DOP Sweet wines surprise with their tannins and warmth.
Explosion of fruit and aromas accompanied by a unique acidity, which makes them ideal companions for snacks and desserts, and also, for the most daring, juicy combinations in cocktails and creative dishes.
These special wines come from a selection of the best vintages, with the Monastrell grape being the protagonist.
Its elaboration process is based on maintaining all the fruit and aromas of the Monastrell PDO Jumilla.
The wines present were: Camelot Dulce 2016 by Bodegas Salzillo, Amatus Dulce Monastrell 2015 by Bodegas Bleda, Olivares Dulce 2017 by Bodegas Olivares, Silvano García Dulce Monastrell 2016 by Bodegas Silvano García, Casa de la Ermita Dulce Monastrell 2018 and Casa de la Ermita Dulce Blanco 2019 by Esencia Wines Cellars, Majeros Dulce 2017, from Bodegas San Dionisio, Alceño Dulce 2016 from Bodegas Alceño, Torrecastillo Dulce 2015 from Bodegas Torrecastillo and Lacrima Christi from Bodegas BSI.
All of them without exception surprised the audience and left the tasters very satisfied.
The V Hall of generous wines of Madrid, gathered at the InterContinental Hotel a large press compendium and wine lovers, as well as professionals from the distribution sector, HoReCa channel, and numerous students.
The staff of the Regulatory Council values ​​the presence in it very positive, and expects to continue with its strategic line of enhancement of Jumilla PDO wines in the specialized sector, offering knowledge of its best known wines, based on Monastrell, as well as new creations in Rosé, White, Sweet and Sweet liquor wines.
