The rehabilitation works of the West Atrium of the Main Church of Santiago have been completed, financed with 10,000 euros by the City Council of Jumilla, according to an agreement signed with the Main Church of Santiago last December.
Yesterday they visited the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, accompanied by the Councilors for Works and Tourism, Francisco González and María Quílez, and the pastor, Manuel de la Rosa.
The works have been carried out through the project written by the architect, Gumersindo Esteve Martínez.
They have consisted of the disassembly of the existing ashlar stone and consolidation of the land that had yielded due to water seepage.
A concrete base has been placed and the sillar stones that have been preserved have been replaced, as well as other new non-slip ones, which have replaced the broken ones.
