The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, met today with the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, who announced that this year's budgets contemplate a game of one million euros to improve four rural roads "for which the bidding process in the coming weeks, â€explained the Minister of Finance and Presidency, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting.
Specifically, the rural roads that will be acted upon are section 1 and section 2 of the Colonization track, the Zarza road, the Raja road and the one that links Yecla and the Gamellón.
The planned investment of one million euros is part of the second call for actions on rural roads in the Autonomous Community.
Celdrán said there will also be improvements on the two roads that were most affected by the torrential rains last September, the RM-403 (Jumilla-Ontur) and RM-420 (La Celia and Albatana).
"In this 2020 we will repair the damages suffered on these two regional roads for which we will invest 340,000 euros," said the counselor.
On the other hand, the president and the mayor analyzed the status of the construction project of the Integral High Resolution Center, which will complement the hospital of reference of the region, the Hospital Virgen del Castillo de Yecla, and that will serve the inhabitants of the Health area V that includes Jumilla and Yecla.
Likewise, López Miras reiterated to Guardiola the congratulation of the regional government for the recognition of Holy Week in Jumilla as a Festival of International Tourist Interest, “a party with more than 600 years of history, in which about twenty brotherhoods participate, more than 3,000 residents of the town and many visitors from the Region, from Spain and abroad, â€said the counselor.
