Almost 2 years ago, IU alerted and pointed to solutions to the problem of water in our municipality through a motion.
At that time nobody seemed to worry, and even some said we were alarming the population for a problem that did not exist.
Now, they return to Plenary another motion with the same measures that we proposed in their day, about which they have not done anything and what little they have done has been individually.
When we see news of concern in this regard, IU-Verdes wonders if it was necessary to wait 2 years to get to work on a problem as serious as water and if it is necessary to approve again the same type of initiatives after approving the motion presented by the United Left and not having done anything.
The PSOE of Jumilla is dealing with the problem without giving participation to the other political groups and environmental organizations, agrarian and citizens in general.
This problem belongs to everyone and they cannot hide, even more, when most of the competences on this matter are from the CHS and therefore from the PSOE.
On the other hand, the regional PP that has been defending until recently that there are no problems of water withdrawals and intensive crop growth (vegetables grown by outside companies) in the Altiplano, says now that the responsibility is only of the CHS when they have not moved a finger or to alert, or to address the problem.
The unfortunate conclusion is that once again we see a clumsy government team, which aims to work in tow of the ideas of IU, but as always, late and bad, just to not admit that they are wrong in their policies, putting at risk what really matters.
