This week the FITUR fair in Madrid is celebrated and 20 years have elapsed since Jumilla's first participation as City Hall in that fair.
By the hand of the then first Deputy Mayor Constantino Martínez Bernal, of IU, Jumilla was presented to the tourist world for the first time with the brochure of the local project Rutas del Vino, which would end up being one of the six pilot municipalities in the development of the tourist brand Rutas del Vino de España, of the Ministry of Commerce and Tourism, promoted by the Association of wine cities (ACEVIN).
The event marked a before and after in Jumilla tourism, as it was the first stone that would then be followed by participation in the Regional Fair of Torre Pacheco and the involvement of wineries, hotels, restaurants, wine bars, companies and festive associations and cultural in what is now the Jumilla Wine Route.
From United Left-Greens has always opted for this economic activity that should always have a priority support.
Our training has always claimed greater momentum and commitment to this sector and the Wine Route.
