Jumilla has finished the year 2019 with 153 fewer unemployed than at the end of 2018. The current number of unemployed people is 1,771.
Likewise, after two months of increases, in December it has decreased by 79 people in December 2019 compared to the month of November.
This variation has been more pronounced in female unemployment with a decrease of 58 women compared to a decrease of 21 men.
The unemployment rate is 19.56% over the estimated active population.
"The figures are below the regional average and we continue with the downward trend we have been in recent years," said the Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil.
By age, youth unemployment has decreased by more than one point, from 11.51% to 10.11%.
The largest group continues to be those over 45 with almost half of all unemployment, 49.18%.
By economic sectors, it is still the service sector that brings together the largest number of unemployed, representing more than half with 52.17% of the total unemployed.
This is where the bulk of female unemployment is concentrated.
It is followed in percentage of job search agriculture, although it has decreased two points, from 19.62% to 17.50%.
