The jury decides the winners of the Hypnos Awards 2019 (25/11/2019)

The jury of the Hypnos Awards 2019 composed of María José García Tomás, José Carrión Ortega, Lucía Jiménez Iniesta, José Francisco Poveda Martínez and Lidia María Gómez Gómez, and chaired by the mayor, Juana Guardiola Verdú, acting as secretary to the head of the department of Culture, Andrés Martínez, has decided the winners of this edition after deliberating among the different proposals presented in the different categories convened.

The Sports Labor Award will go to the Aspajunide Sports Club, for its great work in the use of sport as an integrative and leisure tool for its users.

During the last decade they have participated in a multitude of championships in Spain of different modalities such as futsal, basketball, athletics, paddle tennis, skiing, petanque or swimming with brilliant results.

The Dedication to Culture prize will be awarded to José Tevar García, a Jumillano artist historically related to Holy Week as a designer of many items such as banners or even thrones that are already part of the local processional heritage.

PasDulce has won the Business Development award, a family business specializing in the manufacture of traditional pastries with more than half a century of history that has adapted to the times and evolved to become a reference in the sector.

The recognition as Ambassador of Jumilla will go to the hands of Salvador Moreno Pérez, one of the people who have most transmitted the name of the municipality through an extensive legacy of works spread throughout Spain and numerous awards, both literary and architecture .

The Equality Award will be for María del Carmen Herrero Alcalde after her extensive career dedicated to enhancing the values ​​to achieve the same rights and opportunities for people throughout her life as a professional at the Jumilla Social Services Center, from which she reached Be a coordinator

The Human Values ​​Defense Prize will be for Andrés Carlos López Herrero, professor of the IES Infanta Elena, awarded during the last years at the national level for different projects in which values ​​and teaching resulting in educational excellence.

The Special Mention 2019 will be for the Coral Jumilla Canticorum, which is celebrating the twentieth anniversary since its foundation and has been working all this time to preserve the traditions of choral music.

He has also represented the municipality in different prestigious competitions during these two decades.

The Hypnos Awards will be held next Sunday, January 19, at a public event at the Vico Theater.
