The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the president of the Association of Moors and Christians Don Pedro I, Paqui Pérez, have signed this morning the agreement for the granting of the grant of 10,500 euros provided for in the 2019 Municipal Budget, with the presence, in addition, of the councilor of Celebrations, José Antonio Jiménez.
With this amount, the City Council cooperates financially in the activities organized throughout the year by the Association of Moors and Christians.
Likewise, the City Council facilitates event infrastructure or transfer of spaces, among other contributions.
The agreement is approved and signed once the group to which the subsidy is granted justifies that of the previous year.
The mayor thanked "the work of the association in carrying out the events that are organized" and has shown the predisposition of the City Council, "which remains to the maximum that we can, together, continue to improve the festivities of the municipality ".
