The expansion works of the Municipal Cemetery have been completed, which involved the construction of 288 new niches and 72 graves.
This is one of the actions of the Works and Services Plan (POS) 2018-19, which has had a cost of 230,000 euros, of which CARM contributes 123,500 euros and the City Council the remaining 106,500.
The works have been carried out by the UTE Construcciones La Vid y Avance.
The last expansion of the Cemetery had been carried out in 2016 with the construction of 80 new niches.
Likewise, during the last weeks improvement works have been carried out throughout the installation for All Saints' Day, such as cleaning of roofs of the enclosures, repairs in banks and pavement, as well as arrangements and installation of fountains.
Accesses November 1
As in previous years, vehicles will be able to access the Cemetery through both Cantarerías street and the Cemetery road, although it can only be exited through the latter route, which is the one recommended for use.
There will be ample parking space next to the Cemetery, with an approximate capacity for 300 vehicles.
Another form of access will be using the city bus, which will include this destination on all its routes on Friday, November 1 from 9 am to 2 pm.
