The Councilor for Tourism, María Quílez, and the president of the Penitential Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of Life, José Carrión, today presented a promotional brochure of the Procession of Penitents edited by the City Council of Jumilla "with the aim of include permanently within the package offered by the Tourist Office, as an attractive differentiator of our municipality, which can be disseminated in fairs and tourist events, "said the mayor of the area.
For its part, from the brotherhood it has been indicated that this booklet is part of the different promotional actions that are being carried out on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the procession, which is celebrated in 2021. "In addition to getting the dissemination and knowledge of the same, we want the brochure to serve as support to initiate the file of declaration of the Procession of the Penitents as an Intangible Cultural Interest Property ", informed José Carrión.
It is a polidíptico of 12 shovels of size 16x11 centimeters of which 3,000 copies have been published in which all the data of the procession, itineraries, curiosities and images of the same are offered.
