Acevín, the Association of Wine Cities of Spain, held yesterday in Madrid the extraordinary general assembly that has chosen the composition of the association's board of directors for the period 2019-2023.
The candidacy chosen has been the one headed by the mayor of Alcázar de San Juan, Rosa Melchor, of which the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, is a treasurer.
Therefore, Jumilla City Council will continue to hold the same position in this new legislature.
The assembly was also attended by the Councilor for Tourism, María Quílez, and the head of the Department of the City Council, Ángel Pérez.
The rest of the board of directors will be formed by Rafael Llamas (mayor of Montilla), Manuel García (Palma del Condado), Sergio Ortiz (Cariñena), Raquel González (Aranda de Duero), Laura Ribado (Haro), Josep María Ribas (Sant Sandurní D'Anoia), David Moya (Colmenar) and Jose María Ramírez (Almendralejo).
ACEVIN was born in 1994 and it is in 1996 when Jumilla City Council joins as a partner, being one of the first.
From this association the wine tourism product of Spain's Wine Routes was born, of which Jumilla is also part.
