The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the president of Cáritas Jumilla, Josefa Abellán, have signed this morning the agreement for the granting of the subsidy provided for in the 2018 Municipal Budget. In the act of signing, they have also been present, the Councilor for Social Policy, José Luis Monreal, as well as Irene Crespo, representing the association.
Through this agreement, Cáritas Jumilla receives the amount of 15,000 euros with which the City Council collaborates with the activities that the organization develops in terms of social actions in the municipality of Jumilla with all the groups that need your attention.
"Specifically, they will be dedicated to primary care projects, Spanish classes for immigrants, shelter, solidarity kitchen, playroom-nursery and closet," said the local president of the group, Josefa Abellán.
The mayor, Juana Guardiola, has highlighted "the extraordinary work done by Caritas volunteers in the municipality, who work tirelessly throughout the year and without hours."
In addition, direct agreements with groups, from the Department of Social Policy are allocated, in addition, every year more than 100,000 euros for charitable and welfare care and 20,000 for extremely urgent aid.
