The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for Agriculture, Juan Gil, presented this morning the 20th edition of the Exaltation of Wine, which is held on Thursday, August 8 from 9:30 p.m. in the gardens of Salons Pío XII.
Tomorrow Thursday, starting at 12 noon, on the website www.globalentradas.com tickets will be on sale, which will be priced at 25 euros and a maximum of four per person can be purchased.
"Internet sales are the novelty of this edition, with a total of 950 being available, with the aim of making this year the acquisition of tickets an anecdote and not a reason for comments as has happened in other years," said Juan Gil.
21 wineries of the Vinos de Jumilla PDO will take part and this year's gloss will be in charge of the Jumillano winemaker Diego Cutillas.
There will also be live music through the performance of the Limbotheque group.
The design of the posters of this edition has been made by Miguel Ángel Lozano (Damajuana) and the video that will be screened on the spot by Guarafía Producciones.
The event is organized one more year by the Department of Agriculture with the collaboration of the DO Jumilla Regulatory Council, Murcian Association of Winemakers, Federation of Peñas of the Harvest Festival, Wine Route and the Association of Wine Entrepreneurs of Jumilla. Year, as on previous occasions, a free bus service will be made available to attendees to travel to the venue of the event.
They will leave from Jumilla Bus Station from 8.30 pm uninterruptedly and will return from 00.30 onwards.
The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has referred to the event "as the informal inauguration of the Jumilla Fair and Festivities, an act that has grown to become a benchmark to make visible and promote the culture of wine and Jumilla itself."
