Tomorrow Wednesday opens the application period for grants for non-profit associations for social purposes, under competitive competition for the year 2019. The deadline for submission will end on Monday, August 12 and must be made in the General Register of the City Council .
In the Municipal Budget, an item of 60,000 euros was established for these grants, which will be awarded based on two lines:
Line A. For those associations whose purpose is to contribute to projects aimed at the promotion and revitalization of the applicant association, the associated persons being beneficiaries.
Line B. For those in which the association acts as an auxiliary and collaborator of public administrations, whose purpose is to contribute to projects aimed at improving the quality of life of certain groups with social and health problems.
For this annual call, the maximum amount that can be distributed among all applications on line A is 18,000 euros and on line B 42,000 euros.
The maximum limit to be granted for a subsidy on line A will be 2,000 euros and on line B it will be 6,000 euros.
The Councilor for Social Policy, José Luis Monreal, said that "this year 265,000 euros will be granted for social assistance, of which 110,000 are for charitable and welfare care, 20,000 for extremely urgent aid and 60,000 for different groups with social purposes. Caritas, Red Cross, Aspajunide, Amfiju and AECC are subsidized directly with a total of 71,500 euros. "
The total amount has increased compared to 2018.
