The Department of Social Policy of the City of Jumilla reports that since Monday, July 1 has been able to launch the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI), once the Ministry of Social Policy and Equal Opportunities has resolved the corresponding consignment.
"We regret again the delay of the CARM when it comes to making the necessary subsidies to the City Councils to provide the CAVI service with funds that came from the Ministry months ago, but the victims have not been unattended as the service basic attention has been provided with the municipal staff, "said the mayor, Juana Guardiola.
The fundamental objective of the CAVI is to support and provide comprehensive and continuous assistance to users who suffer gender violence, working on their problems from three professional profiles: psychologist, social worker and legal counsel.
"It will also address the prevention and awareness of the population in general and different groups and associations through campaigns, workshops, talks, etc., to support and work on the eradication of gender violence," said the councilor of the area, José Luis Monreal.
