The Ministry of Tourism and Culture inaugurates a new exhibition of the Exhibition Spaces Plan in Jumilla, where the work of the ciezano painter José Ato will be exhibited from today.
'Castillos Región de Murcia' is the name of the exhibition that can be seen until June 16 at the Jerónimo Molina de Jumilla Archaeological Museum.
This is the second exhibition of the third edition of the Exhibition Spaces Plan, which has an intense program integrated by a total of 59 exhibitions in which 67 artists born or residents in the Region of Murcia will show their work.
The samples will be made during 2019 in spaces of 31 municipalities.
The general director of the Cultural Industries and the Arts, Marta López-Briones said that "it's about boosting the Murcian talent and giving greater visibility to the work done by the creators of the Region of Murcia".
The artist José Ato offers in Castillos Región de Murcia a set of watercolors where he gives a plastic vision of these abandoned buildings after having fulfilled his defensive function.
The region, located in the border area, was building numerous defensive castles that today, centuries later, still remain in their surveillance post.
The exhibition opens this afternoon at 7:30 p.m.
The visiting hours are from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
