This 14th edition, held on the occasion of World Consumer Day, has had a participation of 2,000 schoolchildren

Consum has awarded the prizes of the 14th edition of its Illustrated Story Contest, whose objective is to promote good consumption habits through stories and creativity.
The contest starts a new cycle on Sustainable Development, in line with the Cooperativa's 30/20 strategy.
The first prize was for the story "Manza y Nita" of the students of the Center for Early Childhood and Primary Education (CEIP) Miguel Hernández de Jumilla (Murcia).
The second prize went to the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) El Caminás de Castellón (Valencian Community) and the third prize to CEIP Virgilio Valdivia from Roquetas de Mar Aguadulce (Andalusia).
The prize for Special Education has been for the Special Education Public Center Eloy Camino de Yecla (Murcia) and the Occupational Center Award, for the Artisan Foundation of Barcelona (Catalonia).
In addition, it has also been awarded for pedagogical quality to five other works.
Under the slogan "To the rescue of the frescoes", this edition has counted with the participation of nearly 2,000 schoolchildren of schools and occupational centers of all the autonomous communities in which the Cooperative is implanted: Murcia, Comunidad Valenciana, Cataluña, Castilla- La Mancha and Andalusia.
In total, 211 jobs have been submitted.
The act of delivery was attended by the General Director of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Abril;
the general director of the Valencian Institute of Social Health Care of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ángel Bonafé;
the head of the Consumer Agency of the Catalan Consumer Agency of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Rosario Arcas, and the Special Commissioner of the World Center for Sustainable Food, Vicente Domingo, together with the executive of Institutional Relations and CSR of Consum, Carmen Picot, and the president of the Jury and vice president of the Governing Council of the Cooperative, Mª Teresa Caballer.
Study on sustainable development
In this 14th edition, Consum wanted to know the perception of schoolchildren about food production systems and their relationship with sustainable development.
The first conclusions show that the majority of the respondents are aware that the way of producing food influences the maintenance of ecosystems and strengthens the capacity of the earth to avoid disasters caused by climate change.
There is also a great feeling of solidarity with the fact that all people have access to a healthy diet in order to put an end to hunger and so that food producers can live with dignity from their work.
Consum, as an association of consumers, aims to promote the rights of consumers of all ages and promote healthy and healthy lifestyles through its plan of training and information.
That is why, aware of the ability of young consumers to generate positive habits and attitudes in the family environment, the Cooperative has encouraged working in the classroom on the systems of food production and sustainable development, and its consequences.

Sostenipoly, the great sustainable development game
During the award ceremony, 'Sostenipoly', a board game on sustainable development, created by Consum to promote responsible consumption and sustainable development in the classroom was also presented.
The new game is aimed at students from 10 years and is available in the educational portal Team Consum.
The game identifies and values ​​certain actions and the impact they have on their social, economic or environmental environment, depending on their degree of commitment to sustainable development.
