The Governing Board has approved in its session this week to start the file to hire the drafting of the rehabilitation project of the House Perez de los Cobos for sociocultural center and musical legacy of Jumilla framed in the program of 1.5% Cultural aids .
The planned works will cost 1,325,736.50 euros, of which 917,939.95 euros will come through the grant approved by the Ministry of Development.
The Pérez de los Cobos House will become a space dedicated to the history of music, taking advantage of the different rooms such as exhibition and didactic rooms, cafeteria and shop.
The purpose is to give tourist use and revitalize the historical set of Jumilla, even serving to explain the urban development of the city.
The City of Jumilla already undertook in 2017 an emergency action given its unfortunate state, which consisted of cleaning, shoring and debris the house, as well as timely replacement of the roof in order to achieve minimum conditions of safety and stability avoiding, until the definitive restoration was made, the action of the rain that entered through the cracks and landslides.
The works had a cost of 102,800 euros.
Other agreements
The Governing Board also approved the report and grant request for the adaptation of pedestrian routes to accessibility and universal design conditions.
Minor contracts
In smaller contracts approved different needs for the Week of Health for an amount of 2,960.60 euros and the purchase of material for the Department of Services for 1,153.80 euros.
Related to sports, it was approved the purchase of a waterproof cover for the pole vault area of ​​the athletics track of La Hoya Sports Center with the aim of protecting it from the inclement weather and the risks of the football field.
It will be provided by the company Antuco SL for a cost of 1,029.25 euros.
In addition, the contracting of the Jumilla Handball Club was approved for the development of activities in base categories until June 7 for 637.50 euros.
In settlement of obligations, an amount of 256,905.25 euros was approved for payment to suppliers.
