The City of Jumilla has dedicated a monument to blood and marrow donors, which has been installed in the garden area of the Health Center.
With this, the joint proposal of the three municipal groups and the non-attached councilor approved unanimously in the plenary session of last December is carried out.
"The goal is the gratitude of the donors of blood and bone of Jumilla, since the municipality exceeds the average of donations of the Region of Murcia and is an example of awareness through different campaigns that have broken records of donations", has noted the councilor of Health, Lucía Jiménez.
Its installation has been made coincide with the donation campaign that the Hemodonation Center carries out in Jumilla during the Tuesdays of all the months of April and which precisely begins today.
In addition, this Sunday, April 7, World Health Day was celebrated.
For his part, the councilor of Urbanism, Francisco González, explained the material and symbolism of the monument: "It is built with a sheet to the rusty cut forming a heart inside another symbolizing that one life brings another." The drop of blood can be seen in positive and negative, representing the blood types ".
